Day 4 - St Petersburg

When we were young we never thought we would every go to Russia.  Stepping off the ship this morning was somewhat surreal.

St Petersburg is a beautiful city, we say so many beautiful sites.  One of the most beautiful is the Cathedral of Christ's resurrection (see picture below)  We also saw the outside of the Hermitage (we will be touring the inside tomorrow) We toured the Peter and St Paul fortress. This the  honorary burial place of the Romanov's.  Yes, even Anastasia is there.  The two children they have not found is Maria and Alexei.  We heard a really excellent group of men who sang a Capella.  We decided to get a set of their CDs.

We tasted cranberry vodka and even bought a bottle.  We found some artwork to go on our travel wall!

Tonight is dinner at the French restaurant on the ship.

We will be adding more pictures soon!
